Dr. Padma Rekha Koukuntla, popularly known as Dr. K, has a solid clinical experience in medicine, having worked in various healthcare systems across multiple states in America. She has vast experience in managing the sickest patients in our community, having handled cases in acute and intensive care units in hospitals, which has honed her clinical acumen to one of the best. Known for her thoroughness, clear and concise communication, and up-to-date knowledge of medicine, she focuses on complete workups. From managing acute heart attacks to caring for common colds, she has dealt with a wide range of medical issues. Additionally, she is board-certified in healthcare quality and management.

Dr. Koukuntla began her medical journey in 2002 at Osmania Medical College, graduating from one of the oldest and most prestigious medical schools in India. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, she has been in active practice for 10 years. Her work experience includes Internal medicine training at Rochester Regional Unity Health Hospital, as well as working as a hospitalist in academic centers like Rochester General Hospital, and community centers like Advent Health Sebring Hospital in Florida, Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, DeKalb Regional Medical Center in Alabama, Advent Hospital Gordon, Calhoun, and Northside Hospital systems in Atlanta.
She is one of the few preventive care physicians certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, and she works as a part-time Physician Advisor for Atrium Healthcare System hospitals across the USA.
At home, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, hiking in the mountains, kayaking, beach life, watching romantic comedies, preferring family movies, and having cookouts with friends and family on weekends.
